The El Paso GOP chairman is threatening to sue after appearing in a mockumentary that shows him abducting a pregnant woman and kidnapping her newborn child.
In the satirical comedy “Ali G: Who Iz I?”, GOP leader Michael Aboud is recorded attending a staged anti-terrorism training where he then joins a mission to kidnap a pregnant woman and her newborn baby to prevent the child from becoming a U.S. citizen.
`However, the training session, the mission, the pregnant woman and the baby were all fake – which the film portrays Aboud as unaware of.
The film was released on Oct. 23 and was created by actor and comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, who is best known for his role in “Borat.”

As first reported by The Guardian, Aboud said he was “unaware of his participation in anything other than what he believed to be a nonfiction film” about illegal border crossings until the media outlet contacted him. He called Cohen and the film crew “liars” and said he planned to sue Cohen.
In the movie, Aboud is also filmed dropping the baby as it’s being carried by a drone over the border “to save the white race” and prevent it from touching U.S. soil.
Aboud was first elected chairman of the El Paso County Republican Party in 2025, and is currently serving a two-year term.
In a radio interview on the Howard Stern Show, Cohen said part of the film was a social experiment about extreme behavior.
“If we get conspiracy theorists – terrified of immigration, terrified of the other – can we turn them into terrorists, into murderers in a few hours?” Cohen said. “That was the experiment was I wanted to show the audience again, “Can you turn someone who’s rational into a murderer in a few hours?'”
Aboud, along with the El Paso and the Texas Republican Party, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
