Shoppers looking to furnish their homes on a budget may want to check out Goodwill’s new furniture-only Home Clearance Center in southwest Houston, where donated furniture is being sold at deeply discounted prices.
The store, which opened last month, is located at 8225 S. Gessner Road, just off U.S. 59.
The clearance center carries a wide selection of used furniture, including couches, oversized chairs, dining room tables, kitchen chairs, stools, solid wood wardrobes and dining room cabinets.
Prices are especially low on some of the larger items. Most couches sell for around $25, while plush chairs range from $15 to $25. Individual wooden and fabric chairs cost as little as $3 to $8.
Shoppers can also find framed artwork, with many pieces priced between $10 and $15.
The store offers an option for people looking to furnish a home, replace an old piece of furniture or find affordable items without paying traditional retail prices. Inventory may vary depending on donations and availability.
KPRC 2’s Bill Spencer takes viewers inside the new clearance center to highlight some of the furniture and deals shoppers can find.
