EL PASO, Texas (KFOX 14, CBS4) — El Paso Locomotive FC is set to host San Antonion FC on Friday in the opening round of the USL Championship Playoffs.

El Paso enters the postseason as the number three seed in the Western Conference. The visitors come to the Sun City as the number six seed.

The Locos dropped their final two regular season games, however the squad is feeling confident ahead of their playoff showdown.

“I feel extremely confident because of the locker room that we have,” Locomotive goalkeeper Armando Moreno said. “From the individuals and players that we have it is very difficult to beat us.”

El Paso took secured a 3-0 victory against San Antonio back on August 15th. However, that is the only victory for the Locos in their last five meetings.

“It’s one game now win or go home,” Locomotive striker and the league’s second leading goal scorer Rubio Rubin said. “Nothing else matters. No points, just win.”

Kick off at Southwest University Park is at 7pm.
