Natalie Armstrong

Natalie Armstrong has been located and is safe.

The 13-year-old had been missing for a week from her home in the apartments near the Lake Highlands DART station, prompting an all-out search. Dallas police did not release details when they updated their website to say the search was over.

Alfonso Solis, the volunteer tracker with Send Me DFW recruited by Armstrong’s mom, Megan Bernhardt, posted a photo from the hospital emergency room entrance, where he said it is “standard operating procedure” to have recently located missing youth examined. He expressed gratitude for those who helped find the girl.

“There’s a lot I can’t say. But I will say this,” he wrote on Facebook. “It takes a village…Dallas Police Department, DART PD, DISD PD, and the community all came together for this family.”
