Iris & Grizz are Honorary Lifetime Members of the Concordia Heritage Association and didn’t just choose to host a live show at a cemetery for spectacle. Concordia Cemetery is a huge part of El Paso’s history, not just the people buried there but its connection to the place that grew into El Paso long ago. Leon Metz helped found the Concordia Heritage Association to preserve a space that is wildly important to the city.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, Concordia has a special feeling to it. As the CHA has continued to raise money, the grounds continue to change. The more people who see what this space has to offer, the more people can help contribute to restoring a piece of El Paso that a passionate few have been upholding for years. Iris & Grizz wanted to help remind El Paso that Concordia isn’t just full of ghost stories, Concordia is one of the Sun City’s most pivotal landmarks. The cemetery tells the tale of El Paso itself, and to be part of that history is bigger than any radio show.

Thomas P. Moad: 1st El Paso Officer Killed In The Line Of Duty

Thomas P. Moad was the first officer killed in the line of duty in the city of El Paso. For years, his misspelled name sat on a dusty plaque until retired officer Harry Kirk shared his story with the world. Now, 140 years later, Moad was given a dedicated monument at Concordia Cemetery and was even bestowed the honor of an official Texas Ranger Cross for his service with The Rangers before officially serving the city of El Paso.
