A teen was shot dead Friday night on the far East Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Officers found a 16-year-old boy with a single gunshot wound to the upper torso in the 4900 block of Bayhead Dr. around 11 p.m. Friday night. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear what circumstances led to the shooting, SAPD said. There is an active, ongoing investigation into the incident.
