LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock community gathered Saturday to celebrate Día de los Muertos and honor the memory of loved ones who have passed away.
Resthaven Funeral Home hosted the festive gathering, welcoming local families to take part in the traditional Mexican holiday where family and friends unite to pray for and remember deceased relatives and friends.
Saturday’s celebration featured live mariachi music and traditional Mexican dance performances by Ballet Folklórico. Attendees were also invited to place photos and mementos of loved ones on a shared community shrine (ofrenda) set up to honor their memory.
