SAN ANTONIO – Families were given a chance to pick up free food and household essentials while enjoying fall activities at a community event held on Saturday, Oct. 31.
Pearl Street Church hosted its Fall Fiesta from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lockwood Park on Saturday. The church described the event as “a free community event designed to bring neighbors together, support local families, and provide practical resources to those who need them.”
Organizers say the event is intended to go beyond a traditional fall festival. “More than a traditional fall festival, Fall Fiesta is an opportunity for our church to show up for our community in a meaningful way,” the church said in a press release.
According to the church, families enjoyed free food, games, and fall activities for children, along with fresh food and essential household supplies. The church also distributed laundry kits, cleaning supplies, and work boots. Admission was free and open to the community.
At Pearl Street Church, our heart is to love and serve the city we call home,” the church said. “Fall Fiesta is one of the ways we’re putting that into action.
