SAN ANTONIO – A person was rushed to a hospital following a reported shooting on the South Side early Sunday morning.
The shooting was reported around 3:30 a.m. off Pleasanton Road near Division Avenue.
While officers were responding to the scene, dispatchers advised that the victim was being driven to Baptist Hospital on Cupples Road.
Several officers drove to the hospital, where they located a vehicle near the emergency room entrance.
According to unconfirmed police radio traffic, the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was reportedly in critical condition.
Authorities have not officially confirmed the victim’s condition or released any information about what led to the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
