A missing San Antonio nurse practitioner and decorated Army veteran has been found alive after suffering a medical episode, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
In a post to Facebook on Thursday, BCSO said deputies located 56-year-old Dr. Anita Elizabeth Gould inside her vehicle on the 14600 block of Potranco Road after searching the area around her neighborhood.
Deputies said she preliminarily appears to have experienced a medical episode and was taken to a local hospital. Her condition was not immediately released.
“We would like to thank everyone that shared her picture/information,” BCSO said.
Gould had been reported missing Monday evening after she failed to board a scheduled flight to Georgia. She had been last seen wearing a black shirt, pink jacket, and two-toned pants, and driving a black 2019 Buick Enclave.
Gould is a primary care nurse practitioner and the owner of Haute Wellness & MediSpa in San Antonio.
According to the spa’s website, she is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, holds a doctorate in nursing practice and a master’s in healthcare administration, and is licensed to provide primary medical care.
She is also a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel who served 30 years – 10 as an enlisted soldier and 20 as an officer – earning multiple honors, including the Legion of Merit and induction into the Office of Military Medical Merit.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
