HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A deadly 18-wheeler crash is under investigation along the East Loop on Wednesday morning.
Houston TranStar reported the wreck at about 7:40 a.m. along I-610 southbound before Clinton Drive.
According to the Houston Police Department, it appears the driver of the 18-wheeler was run over by their own truck.
It’s unclear at this point how the crash happened.
Several southbound lanes have been closed while the investigation continues.
