CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The man accused of shooting and killing 40-year-old John Gabriel Sloma in January pled guilty to manslaughter on Friday morning.
Andrew Botello was arrested in January after police said he shot the victim in an apartment complex. Police took Botello into custody after questioning him.
Sloma died of his injuries at the hospital. Still, investigators said the cause of the shooting was unknown, but said both men knew each other.
