PLANO, Texas — A woman was attacked with a hammer while jogging in Bob Woodruff Park, prompting Plano police to respond to the scene on Thursday, November 13, 2025, according to the department.
The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. in the 2300 block of Shiloh Road.
The female victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by Plano Fire-Rescue, according to a press release from the Plano Police Department.
The suspect, who fled the scene after the attack, has since been identified and taken into custody with pending charges — though police did not release his identity at the time of press.
Authorities assure there are no public safety concerns following the arrest. The case remains under investigation by the CAPers Unit.
