An SMU law professor was reported missing Tuesday while hiking in Georgia, according to a Union County Sheriff’s office news release.

Charles Hosch, 67, was last seen at Byron Herbert Reese Trailhead near Blood Mountain in Georgia wearing khaki pants, a camel colored sweater and a dark green jacket, the release said.

He may have also been seen near Mountain Crossing Store before he disappeared, the release said.

Hosch is an adjunct professor at the SMU Dedman School of Law and co-founder of Dallas’ Hosch & Morris, PLLC, according to the SMU website.

Officials ask anyone who has information on Hosch’s whereabouts to call Union County Emergency Operations Center at 706-439-6091.
