Construction this weekend will shut down parts of Houston’s Gulf Freeway.

The high-occupancy lanes on Interstate 45 South between downtown Houston and Webster will be closed on Saturday and Sunday for a Texas Department of Transportation project, according to a Metro news release.

The closure affects the high-occupancy toll lane and high-occupancy vehicle lanes south of downtown Houston, stretching from downtown past Bay Area Boulevard in Webster.
