LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – After Saturday night’s 42-17 homecoming win over the Kansas Jayhawks, the Texas Tech Red Raiders (6-0) have moved up to No. 7 in the Associated Press poll, two spots higher than the previous week. Tech is also ranked No. 8 in the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Ahead of the Red Raiders are: 1. Ohio State (6-0), 2. Miami (5-0), 3. Indiana (6-0), 4. Texas A&M (6-0), 5. Ole Miss (6-0), and 6. Alabama (5-1). Oklahoma and Oregon dropped in the polls after suffering their first loss of the year.
Other Big 12 schools include: 15. BYU (6-0), 23. Utah (5-1), and 24. Cincinnati (5-1).

Texas Tech is one of only 11 unbeaten teams in the country, and is the only school to win each game by 20+ points. Texas Tech is the only FBS school that has not trailed yet all season.Texas Tech is 6-0 overall for the first time since 2013, seventh time in program history.The Red Raiders have won by an average of 35.3 points per game thus far. Texas Tech set a school record with nine sacks in the win over the Jayhawks, breaking a record set in 1993 at SMU.The Red Raiders gained 372 yards on the ground, 263 came from sophomore Cameron DickeyTech’s defense has allowed only 12.2 points per game this season.
