AUSTIN, TX — Austin police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting early Sunday at a North Austin 7-Eleven and are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect.
Quinton Arnold, 37, was pronounced dead at 4:19 a.m. Sunday after being shot in the parking lot of the convenience store at 1822 Rutland Drive, according to the Austin Police Department.

Officers responded to a shooting call at 3:11 a.m. and found Arnold on the ground next to his vehicle with a gunshot wound, police said.
The preliminary investigation shows Arnold was standing outside the 7-Eleven when a suspect vehicle pulled up and opened fire on him before fleeing the scene, according to police.
Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists processed the scene and interviewed witnesses. The suspect remains at large.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area to come forward with information.
The case marks Austin’s 47th homicide of 2025.
