The Texas Longhorns (7-2) face a must-win scenario to keep their hopes for a College Football Playoff berth alive as they visit the Georgia Bulldogs (8-1) in a Southeastern Conference showdown on Saturday night.

Georgia picked up its fifth straight win last week, improving to 6-1 in SEC play with a 41-21 victory at Mississippi State. Gunner Stockton threw three touchdown passes, finishing with 264 yards through the air, while Nate Frazier rambled for 181 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Chauncey Bowens also scored on the ground, while Noah Thomas, Zachariah Branch, and Oscar Delp caught touchdown passes.

Texas comes off a bye with four consecutive wins, most recently a 34-31 win over then-No. 9 Vanderbilt at home on Nov. 1. Arch Manning has come on after a slow start with 2,123 passing yards to go with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions while also running for six scores. Ryan Wingo has 31 receptions for 593 yards and five touchdowns, with Parker Livingstone also catching five touchdown tosses. Colin Simmons paces the defense with eight sacks.

The Bulldogs beat the Longhorns twice last season, taking a 30-15 victory at Texas on Oct. 19, 2024, before beating them again in the SEC Championship on Dec. 7, claiming a 22-19 overtime win. Texas leads the all-time series 4-3.
