CROWLEY – Margaret Fay Anderton, 86, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; with a visitation one hour prior to service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. Margaret was born on January 20, 1939, in Forest Hill, Texas, to Donald and Juanita Winnett. Margaret was married to the love of her life, Jesse (Buddy) Anderton, for 59 years. Together they built a beautiful family and a lifetime of cherished memories. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend whose love and warmth touched everyone who knew her. A woman of many talents, Margaret had an incredible green thumb and could make anything bloom. She was an avid gardener, passionate reader, gifted crafter who especially loved crocheting, golfer, softball player, and li’l bit cowgirl. Above all, her greatest joy was her family-she loved her two children ,grandchildren and great-grandchildren fiercely and unconditionally. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Jesse Anderton; her son, Michael Anderton; and brother, Don Winnett. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Shari Whitmire; daughter-in-law , Yvonne Anderton ; her grandchildren, Ben and Dessa Anderton, Jacob and Meghan Anderton, Kindall and Justin Freeman, and Sarah Swinford, Shane McConnaughay, and Shawn McConnaughay; great-grandchildren, Cole, Brinley, Avery, Troy, Weston, Colton, Sadie, Easton, Everett, and Elliott; and many nieces, nephews , and friends. Margaret’s nurturing spirit, laughter, and presence was a gift to this world, and she will be deeply missed , but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
