The Dallas Cowboys started their matchup in Las Vegas with a surprising decision.

Both CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens were sidelined for the team’s first offensive series against the Las Vegas Raiders. Dallas went three-and-out on the series, which included two rush attempts from Javonte Williams.

According to ESPN’s Lisa Salters, keeping Lamb and Pickens on the sideline was a “coaches’ decision.” The wide receivers took the field for Dallas’ second series.

After trying once again to establish the run, the Cowboys ran into some trouble on their second drive. Dak Prescott tried to find an open receiver, but couldn’t get the ball out of his hands when Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby forced the quarterback to fumble.
