CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Thomas J. Henry is expanding his annual holiday giving effort by distributing 1,000 turkey vouchers each day through Thursday at the Thomas J. Henry Center for Philanthropy on Ocean Drive.

The giveaway follows a weekend distribution in which 2,000 vouchers were handed out. Henry’s team said the shift from frozen turkey giveaways to vouchers is meant to make distribution easier while also giving families more flexibility.

Alejandro Robles, a digital media specialist with the TJH Center for Philanthropy, said the goal is to ensure families maintain the “dignity of choice” when preparing their holiday meals. He added that the effort reflects Henry’s long-standing commitment to the community.

“We are nothing without the community that is here,” Robles said. “Mr. Henry always loves to give back to Corpus Christi where he started 30 years ago, and we’re just happy to serve the community because they serve us.”

The distribution begins at 10 a.m. each day. Only one voucher is available per household, and vouchers can be redeemed at any H-E-B store.
