SAN ANTONIO – A recent UTSA poll of 660 likely Bexar County voters shows limited support for the Spurs arena proposal and moderate backing for the Stock Show and Rodeo expansion ahead of the November election.

According to the poll, 40% of voters plan to support Prop B, which would fund a new San Antonio Spurs arena through a venue tax, while 46% intend to vote against it. Prop A, which would allocate venue tax funds for the expansion of the Stock Show and Rodeo grounds, drew slightly higher support at 44%, with 41% opposing. About 15% of respondents were undecided on each measure. Overall, 45% of voters said they support Project Marvel, the broader redevelopment plan for Hemisfair, while 40% opposed it.

The poll also marked the first approval ratings for Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones since taking office in June. Results show the public is still becoming familiar with her, with 25% approving of her performance, 26% disapproving, and roughly half remaining neutral or unsure. Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai received higher approval, while Governor Greg Abbott and former President Donald Trump had high disapproval rates.
