There is not much time left in the recruiting cycle when it comes to visits, and in a bid to make their final push for a few key flips, Texas A&M made a huge impression on several recruits. On Monday morning, Coach Mike Elko and Defensive Coordinator Jay Bateman received major news from two of their top priorities.
Texas A&M’s last home SEC game of the season meant they had to put in significant effort to show their remaining recruiting targets what the program offers, as it would likely be the last time many of them saw the team in person. A&M is an excellent host, and Kyle Field is an incredible venue to experience a football game.
However, outside of a few programs, how the team performs under pressure can make or break how someone feels about the program as a whole. On Saturday, there was a big lesson learned by all the recruits at the game. It was that Texas A&M is a different team than in years past, and Coach Elko and his staff have built a culture in Aggieland that can withstand tough times and still come out on top.
Once you pair that with the announcement of Mike Elko’s new contract, there is stability that many other teams simply do not have at this point, especially in the SEC.
So, what was the big recruiting news? Steve Wiltfong of Rivals has logged predictions that Auburn 5-star safety Bralan Womack and Florida 4-star edge Kevin (KJ) Ford will flip to Texas A&M. The Aggies are currently ranked No. 7 with the 2026 class, and if they can add both, they will move into the top five when all is said and done.

There are one or two more targets, with a major one being Houston 4-star wide receiver Jayden Warren, and if they could flip him, they would consider it the perfect conclusion to the 2026 recruiting class.
