AUSTIN, Texas — A jackpot-winning ticket for the Lotto Texas drawing, valued at an estimated $78 million, was purchased at Gordons Bait & Tackle in Brownsville. The winning ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Nov. 15, and the claimant will receive an estimated $43.6 million before taxes, according to the Texas Lottery.

The winning numbers were 7, 17, 23, 28, 39, and 48, and the cash value option was selected at the time of purchase. The prize remains unclaimed, with the winner having 180 days from the draw date to claim it. The retailer that sold the ticket will not receive a bonus, as the Texas Lottery’s retailer bonus program only applies to Powerball and Mega Millions tickets.

The jackpot began as a $5 million prize on Feb. 19 and grew over 116 drawings to become the sixth largest in Lotto Texas history. “We are thrilled that a lucky player purchased the jackpot-winning ticket for this long-awaited Lotto Texas jackpot win,” said Courtney Arbour, executive director of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. She encouraged the winner to sign the ticket, keep it safe, and seek financial and legal advice.

In addition to the jackpot, 82,314 Lotto Texas tickets won lower-tier prizes ranging from $2 to $12,063 in the same drawing. The next Lotto Texas drawing on Nov. 17 will reset to an estimated $5 million. Lotto Texas is played by selecting six numbers from one to 54, with drawings held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. An Extra! add-on feature is available for an additional $1 per play, offering a chance to win up to $10,000 more on non-jackpot prizes.
