LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Crash investigators are seeking information in a central Lubbock hit-and-run that left a bicyclist seriously injured earlier this month.
At 11:39 p.m., on Saturday, November 1, officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run with injuries near 82nd Street and Avenue L.
Upon arrival, officers found 45-year-old Billie Koss lying in the roadway with serious injuries. He was taken to UMC for treatment.
Investigators say it appears Koss was attempting to cross 82nd when he was struck by a white passenger car. Video released by the Lubbock Police Department shows the white passenger did not stop.
LPD posted the video with a content warning. Below is an edited version of the video before the bicyclist was struck.
The passenger car is described as an early 2010’s model Hyundai Sonata or similar vehicle.
