The Dallas area boasts some of the top volleyball talent in the country. Here are 10 of the best high school recruits in 2025.
Danielle WhitmireSetter/Oppostie hitter, Prosper Walnut Grove
Whitmire, who is a Penn State pledge, is in her last season at Walnut Grove. During her junior campaign, she recorded 734 assists, 272 kills, 297 digs and 36 aces, giving her All-American honors. Whitmire already has over 400 assists this season and 183 digs.
Anna FloresSetter, Keller
Last year, the Cal pledge pushed Keller to the 6A Division I regional finals. She was also named 4-6A Setter of the Year honors. This year, Flores has 565 assists, 280 digs and 235 kills.

Simone HeardOutside hitter, Plano East
During her senior season, Heard has 507 kills and 320 digs so far. Last year, Heard led Plano East with 731 kills and 35 aces. She plans on attending Georgia Tech starting next year.
High School Sports
Kylie KlecknerOutside hitter, Byron Nelson
The Washington pledge has 348 kills and 193 digs so far this season. She can contribute both offensively and defensively, pushing Kleckner to MaxPrep All-American and National Junior of the Year honors. During her junior season, Kleckner had 596 kills.

Hannah LeeMiddle blocker, Frisco Wakeland
Last season, Lee led Wakeland to a 5A Division II state title. During her junior season, Lee recorded 320 kills, 106 blocks and 56 digs. The LSU commit has had the same production, contributing almost 400 kills.
Nyla LivingsMiddle blocker, Plano Prestonwood Christian
Livings will also being taking her talents to LSU, where she verbally committed in June ahead of her junior season. Last year, Livings had 97 kills, 33 blocks, 18 digs and six aces in 35 sets. She helped Prestonwood to a TAPPS Class 6A state championship for the third consecutive year.

Maya OgboguOutisde hitter, Allen
Ogbogu is one of the top prospects in the Class of 2028. She was named an All-American after recording 418 kills and 76 blocks during her freshman season. This year, Ogbogu continues to pulse the offense.

Sophee PetersonSetter, Trophy Club Byron Nelson
Peterson is considered to be the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2027, per Prep Volleyball. The junior is committed to Texas A&M, and was a huge part of Byron Nelson’s state championship run last year. She had a team-best 1,480 assists, also contributing 271 digs, 199 kills, 75 blocks and 48 aces.

Rodriguez is also a Texas A&M pledge following a successful junior campaign. Last year, Rodriguez had 937 digs, 34 aces and 107 assists. She pushed McKinney North to a Class 5A Division I state championship appearance. This year, Rodriguez has 520 digs, 284 serves received and 35 assists.
AJ SeayDefensive specialist, Trophy Club Byron Nelson
Last year, Seay had 488 kills, 495 serves received 315 digs and 52 aces during Byron Nelson’s championship run. This year, the Rice pledge has had the same production, helping Byron Nelson to a 33-0 record.
