RICHARDSON, Texas (November 18, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University freshman setter Camdyn Sears added another milestone to her record-breaking debut season, earning Lone Star Conference Setter of the Week honors in the league’s final weekly awards announcement of the year. The recognition marks her eighth LSC weekly award of the season and her fourth Setter of the Week selection, extending what is already the most weekly honors ever earned by an LCU freshman during the program’s NCAA era.

Sears delivered a signature performance in LCU’s championship-clinching 3–2 victory over Midwestern State, helping the Lady Chaps secure a share of their first-ever Lone Star Conference Regular Season Title and their 14th conference title overall. The Midland, Texas, native authored one of the top setting displays in the nation this week, finishing with 65 assists and 10 digs—her 19th double-double of the season—while averaging 13.00 assists per set, the highest mark in the LSC.

Her 65-assist output was the top single-match total in the conference this week, the third-highest total in LCU’s rally-scoring era (since 2008), and powered an explosive Lady Chaps attack that produced 78 kills—the most by any LSC team this season—and 75 team assists, the second-most in school history. Sears’ distribution fueled a five-player double-digit kill performance and lifted LCU to a new program record of 15 conference wins, closing the regular season at 23–6 overall and 15–2 in the LSC.

Already one of the most decorated players in program history for a single season, Sears has now collected:

8 total LSC weekly awards in 2025
4 Setter of the Week honors
4 Freshman of the Week honors (including one week sweeping both)

As a team, the Lady Chaps have now amassed 11 weekly conference honors this fall—extending their own single-season program record—with Sears joined by Lily Bickley, Emilee Sikora, and Jade Workman, each earning Offensive Player of the Week recognition earlier this year.
