Robinson, TX (FOX 44) – Amazon announced it would be expanding its Central Texas footprint with a new facility planned for the City of Robinson.

The 119,000-square-foot delivery station will be located along John Bowden Parkway. It will serve as a “last-mile” site, designed to help speed up deliveries across Robinson and the greater Waco area.

This marks Amazon’s second location in the region, following the 2022 opening of its robotic fulfillment center in Waco. The project is expected to bring new jobs and continued economic growth to the area.

“Amazon’s already a great contributor to the economic growth and vitality of the community,” Waco Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President of Economic Development Kris Collins said. “They employ well over 1,500 workers just in our market alone. And so, this is going to expand that employment base. It’s going to expand the tax base for both the City of Waco and the City of Robinson.”

Projects like this align with the Waco Chamber’s long-term vision for growth in the area.

“When major companies like this are selecting your community, it opens the door for others, and it also makes people take a second look and go, ‘If this community is a great fit for this company, it’s probably going to be a great fit for us, as well,’” Collins expressed.

City and county leaders say having companies like Amazon invest locally helps strengthen the community’s business portfolio and showcase the region as a hub for industry and innovation.
