LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Southeasterly winds have helped us kick start our morning and will continue to dominate throughout the afternoon with breezier conditions expected in the later parts of the day near 15 to 20 mph.

Low temperatures in the 50s and light winds made for a cool start to the day, but our afternoon forecast will still remain above average. Highs will continue to be above average, near the mid-80s, for the next couple of days with quite a bit of sunshine.

Rain chances overall are low, but for Thursday and Friday there remains a slim chance for isolated showers near the Texas-New Mexico state line. This is going to be extremely isolated if any development of showers is even observed at all.

Conditions on Thursday morning will look similar to today, with 50s and light winds. High temperatures are only expected to be 1 to 2° warmer.
Breezy and warmer weather is forecasted to continue heading into the weekend and next week with the passage of a Pacific cold front.
