A motorcycle rider was killed during an accident in Grand Prairie on Tuesday, according to a news release from police.
The fatal accident happened in the 3400 block of Trinity Boulevard, the release said.
Police said the rider was traveling north on Trinity Boulevard at about 4:15 p.m., when a southbound SUV made an eastbound turn and collided with the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.

“Investigators have not ruled out that speed may have been a factor in the collision,” the release said. Police said the SUV driver was not injured and is cooperating with authorities.
The identities of the motorcycle rider and the SUV driver were not immediately released by the police.
