SAN ANGELO, Texas (November 19, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University volleyball produced its most decorated postseason awards night since joining the Lone Star Conference, as seven LCU individuals received conference accolades Wednesday at the annual LSC Volleyball Awards Banquet in San Angelo. The honors come on the eve of the LSC Championship Tournament, where the Lady Chaps enter as the No. 2 seed following a 23–6 regular season and a share of their first-ever LSC regular-season title.
 
Senior middle blocker Lily Bickley headlined the academic awards, becoming the first player in program history to earn LSC Academic Player of the Year. The Fort Worth native, a Biology major with a 4.0 GPA, also claimed First Team All-Conference honors, marking the third All-Conference selection of her career. Bickley ranks among the league’s top 20 in seven statistical categories, including fifth in hitting percentage (.332), eighth in total kills (327) and total blocks (88), and holds 1,136 career kills—the second-highest total in LCU’s rally-scoring era. She is also a two-time LSC All-Academic Team selection.
 
Freshman setter Camdyn Sears made conference history by becoming the first LSC player ever to win Setter of the Year and Freshman of the Year in the same season, while also earning First Team All-Conference recognition and a place on the LSC All-Freshman Team. Sears led the LSC and ranks 22nd nationally in assists per set (10.45) while sitting ninth nationally in total assists (1,139), the fourth-best single-season mark in LCU’s rally-scoring era. She recorded the highest single-match assist total in the conference this year (65), ranked among the league’s top 10 setters in digs per set (2.98), and amassed eight LSC weekly awards—four Setter of the Week and four Freshman of the Week. Sears is the first LCU player to claim LSC Setter of the Year honors and the first LCU player to claim a conference Setter of the Year honor since Brady Marshall claimed Heartland Conference Setter of the Year honors in 2018 (Marshall was also a freshman). Additionally, Sears is the first LCU player to claim LSC Freshman of the Year honors and first LCU player to claim a conference Freshman of the Year honor since Channing Stewart claimed Heartland Conference Freshman of the Year accolades in 2014
 
Freshman outside hitter Emilee Sikora, playing in her hometown of San Angelo for the championship week, joined Sears as an All-Freshman Team selection and was named First Team All-Conference after ranking among the LSC’s most productive attackers. Sikora sits  seventh in the league and 90th nationally in total kills (333), ranking sixth in the LSC in attacks per set (9.70), and has produced 1,009 total attacks—currently the fourth-highest total in the conference.
 
Senior middle blocker Bryleigh Schweer earned both an LSC All-Academic Team selection and Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition after turning in the strongest season of her career. The 4.0 Business major ranks eighth in the LSC in blocks per set (0.92), sixth in total blocks (93), and ninth in hitting percentage (.292), while also standing top-10 on the team in kills (205) and top five in points (274.5). Senior outside hitter Payton Murray, also carrying a 4.0 GPA in Business, collected her second career LSC All-Academic honor and ranks currently has 688 total attacks and 202 total kills.
 
Senior libero Abby Dominguez earned Honorable Mention All-Conference following a breakout season anchoring LCU’s back row. The Snyder, Texas native ranks third in the LSC and 47th nationally at 4.87 digs per set and third in the LSC and 20th nationally with 541 total digs—the eighth-highest single-season total in program history. She is one of only three LSC players to surpass 500 digs this season.
 
Head coach Keith Giboney was named LSC Coach of the Year, becoming the first LCU coach to receive the honor since the program joined the conference. It is his sixth career conference Coach of the Year award and his first since 2007. In his fifth season at LCU, the Scottsdale, Ariz., native guided the Lady Chaps to a 23–6 overall record and a program-record 15 conference wins, securing the program’s first LSC regular-season championship and 14th conference crown overall. Giboney owns a 468–224 career record and is 84–53 during his five-year tenure at LCU. The prior coach to claim a conference Coach of the Year honor was Jennifer Lawrence in 2018.
 
LCU’s seven honorees mark its largest award total since joining the Lone Star Conference, while the program’s three All-Academic selections led the league. The Lady Chaps also earned multiple All-Freshman Team selections for the first time since 2021 (Aaliyah Gray and Kendall Mahaney).
 
The Lady Chaps open postseason play with the quarterfinals if the LSC Championships (eight-team single-elimination conference tournament) Thursday at 1:30 p.m. inside Junell Center–Stephens Arena, facing No. 7 seed Oklahoma Christian in the programs’ third meeting this season. The LSC Championship runs through Saturday in San Angelo.
