The dog bite happened in the 2400 block of North Navidad Street
SAN ANTONIO – A United States Postal Service (USPS) mail carrier was taken to a hospital for treatment after being bitten by a dog on the Northwest Side, according to officials.
The bite happened on Wednesday in the 2400 block of North Navidad Street, which is located near West Craig Place, a USPS spokesperson told KSAT.
The San Antonio Police Department said the mail carrier was hospitalized with minor injuries. Animal Care Services told KSAT they suffered a bite to their right arm.
ACS, who is investigating the bite, said the owner was issued four citations: for the bite, lack of a microchip, for being unvaccinated and for the animal being off their property.
The dog, described as a male mastiff mix, was placed in quarantine, ACS said.
