Editor’s note: The featured pet may be adopted by the time you reach out, but there are always many more waiting to meet you through the Humane Society of North Texas.

At the Humane Society of North Texas, adoption is about changing lives, one match at a time. Learn more about adoptions at HSNT’s Fort Worth and Keller locations, or at off-site adoption events held six days a week at HSNT.org.
If the time is right for you to adopt a fur friend, know that Gideon and Wally check a lot of boxes.
Gideon, a red tabby kitten with the confidence of a movie star, has never met a camera he didn’t like. Playful, bold and always in motion, he turns even the simplest moment into entertainment. He’s the kind of cat who makes you laugh out loud one minute and melt the next when he settles in for a nap. Gideon is a mischievous charmer, with a personality that is the perfect mix of fun and affection.
Wally, a 1-year-old Chihuahua-terrier mix, takes a different approach. Quiet but expressive, he can say more with one look than most can with a thousand words. His dark, searching eyes seem to see right through you — and once you’ve locked into them, you’ll understand why he’s unforgettable. Wally loves treats, long walks and people who appreciate the simple joy of companionship.
Gideon and Wally are just two of the many pets waiting at HSNT’s Fort Worth Adoption Center. Every time one finds a home, another pet gets their chance — creating a ripple of compassion that spreads throughout the community.
