LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Texas Judicial Academy has announced the selection of Judge Curtis Parrish as a Fellow of the Texas Judicial Academy, recognizing his outstanding commitment to judicial excellence, continuing legal education, and public service within the Texas court system.
The honor is bestowed upon judges who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving the administration of justice and who have completed advanced judicial education requirements through the Texas Judicial Academy – a partnership between the Texas Tech University School of Law and the Texas Association of Counties.
Judge Parrish was formally inducted during the Academy’s Annual Judicial Education Conference in Galveston, where he was recognized for his leadership, integrity, and contributions to the legal community. As a Fellow, Judge Parrish joins a distinguished group of Texas judges who work collaboratively to strengthen the judiciary and promote the fair and effective resolution of cases.
“I am deeply honored to be named a Fellow of the Texas Judicial Academy,” Judge Parrish said. “This recognition reflects my commitment to serving the people of Lubbock County and the entire State of Texas with fairness, respect, and the highest professional standards.”
Judge Parrish conducts the Probate, Guardianship, and Mental Health hearings for Lubbock County, and is well-recognized across the state as a speaker and teacher in these areas of law. He also serves on the County Judges Education Advisory Committee. Earlier this year, Judge Parrish was named as the West Texas Elected Official of the Year.
