MEXIA, Texas (KWTX) – Two drivers were killed in a collision on Highway 14 near the airport in Mexia on Wednesday, according to police.
The collision was reported at about 5:10 p.m. in the 4800 block of North Highway 14.
“Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a crash between two vehicles, occupied by multiple individuals,” police wrote in a report.
One driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver involved in the wreck was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said all other occupants in both vehicles were also transported to emergency facilities for care.
“At this time there is no known cause for the accident and the investigation is still on going,” police said.
The make and models of the vehicles involved in the wreck were not released by police. The names of the individuals killed in the wreck were not released.
