AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Gay Men’s Chorus is ready to deck the halls and light up the city this holiday season.

Their new show, A Not-So Silent Night: Fierce, Fabulous, and Full of Light, promises a joyful blend of music, laughter, and meaning.

The four-performance celebration runs Friday, December 5, through Sunday, December 7, at First Austin.

Audiences can expect reimagined carols, high-energy pop anthems, and those signature AGMC harmonies that fill the room with joy.

Before each performance, guests can enjoy a preshow happy hour with cocktails, mocktails, and light bites.

And Santa himself will make special appearances before the Friday and Saturday shows.

“The Austin Gay Men’s Chorus has always been more than a performance group. It’s a reflection of Austin’s spirit,” said Executive Director Donovan Jones.

We bring people together to celebrate love, laughter, and shared humanity — and this season, that message feels especially powerful.

At the heart of this year’s program is Where the Light Begins, a moving choral piece that symbolizes finding light within ourselves and sharing it with others.

Artistic Director Dr. Thomas Rinn says it perfectly captures the essence of AGMC: authenticity, fearless artistry, and joy.

Last year’s holiday concerts sold out quickly, and tickets for this season’s show are already on sale.

“This year’s concert will brighten your holidays with everything AGMC is known for laughter, reflection, and the reminder that light always wins,” Rinn said.

A Not-So Silent Night runs December 5–7 at First Austin. Tickets are available now at austingaymenschorus.org.

This project is supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
