A major crash on U.S. 281 South on the North Side is causing heavy delays late Saturday morning. Drivers in the area are being warned of traffic backed up for miles.
The collision was reported just before noon, around 11:43 a.m., between Evans Road and Redland Road, according to TxDOT San Antonio.
Traffic is currently stopped, and backups extend north to East Borgfeld Drive. All southbound lanes in the immediate stretch appear to be impacted, TxDOT reports.

Drivers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes and consider alternate routes if possible.
