ARLINGTON — Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb isn’t perfect. He’s had drops in his career. He averaged 0.55 per game heading into this week, according to data from Pro Football Focus.
There’s one data set that’s raising that average, however.
Lamb had multiple drops in Sunday’s 24-21 comeback win over the Eagles. He finished with four catches for 75 yards, including an important 48-yard catch in the second half, but those catches came on 11 targets from quarterback Dak Prescott.
The drops against the Eagles were interesting because he had a similar performance in the season opener in Philadelphia. He had four drops in the Week 1 loss against the Eagles, including multiple on the Cowboys’ final drive.

Lamb has now played in eight games this season after missing multiple games due to injury. He has 44 catches for 632 yards and two touchdowns.
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said after the game that he’s not worried about Lamb, a four-time Pro Bowler in six NFL seasons before this one.
“CeeDee is not a good player,” Schottenheimer said. “He’s an incredible player. I think the biggest thing for CeeDee is to know we love him, we trust him, the ball is going to keep coming his way.
“There are some weeks you have great games and other weeks where you’re like, ‘Hey, I didn’t play as good as I can play,’ but when we start drawing plays for Kansas City — I’ll give them a heads up — there will be a lot going to No. 88.”
