Holiday traveling is never an easy task especially when your method of traveling is flying! For me, every time I travel by plane I always have to google what items are allowed and not allowed on my carry on bag and/or my checked in luggage. Apparently I am not alone.
According to SIXT, search demand for “TSA tips” has skyrocketed a wild 544% this year. Translation: everyone is also confused and trying very hard not to have their personal items confiscated at security.
However, during the holiday season many people are doing google searches on what FOOD items they are allowed to take on the plane or pack in their luggage. Yup, we’re talking about dishes like turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and more!

SIXT reminds travelers that plenty of side dishes can survive a flight just fine. Just check the rules before you show up with a mystery Tupperware of cranberry sauce and if you’re traveling internationally? Every country has different rules, so do a quick double-check before your sweet potato casserole sparks an international incident.
