Ahead of the final game of the season against Texas in Week 14, Texas A&M came in as the top-ranked non-Big Ten team in the country.

The Aggies mangled Samford in a 48-point shutout at home Saturday. A&M (11-0, 7-0 SEC) remains at No. 3 in the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25 poll. The Aggies were the only team besides Ohio State to earn first-place votes in the coaches poll. A&M also earned a first-place vote in the AP poll.

The College Football Playoff committee ranked A&M third last Tuesday.

Ohio State and Indiana continue to be ranked above the Aggies. A&M is still the only undefeated team in the SEC and is one of eight schools from the conference ranked in the top 25.

Texas A&M will finish its schedule Friday against Texas. The next CFP rankings will be released Tuesday.
