A man was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison on Tuesday in a child pornography case involving a victim from North Texas, according to a news release from the United States Department of Justice.
Emmanuel Jacobo Reyes, 27, pled guilty to one count of production of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography in July, the release said. He was sentenced to 420 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Terry Means, according to the release.
Reyes, who was living in North Carolina at the time, admitted to tempting a minor living in the North Texas area to engage in sexually explicit conduct, produce visual depictions of such conduct and transmit the depictions to him, according to court documents cited in the release.
He was arrested in May in Raleigh, N.C., by the FBI and the Raleigh Police Department.

The FBI’s Fort Worth Field Office reviewed the contents of the victim’s phone that included screenshots of video chats between Reyes and the victim.
“As Reyes’s face was visible in some of the screenshots, agents were able to find his social media profile, confirm his identity, and determine his location,” the release said.
The release said the investigation was a multi-agency effort including the FBI’s Fort Worth Field Office, the FBI office in Raleigh, the North Richland Hills Police Department and Raleigh police.
This particular case is a part of the FBI’s Operation Restore Justice, a nationwide effort to identify, track and arrest child sex predators.
“The operation resulted in the rescue of 115 children and the arrests of 205 child sexual abuse offenders in the nationwide crackdown,” the release said.
