North Texas is expected to be a smidge bit cooler and more cloudy Thursday, before sunshine and warm weather return Friday to end the work week.

According to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, both Thursday and Friday will breezy, with wind gusts as high as 20 mph in the forecast for both days.

Saturday, however, could end the extended dry spell that has parched the region.

The weather service said there’s a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Despite the chance for rain, Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high in the 90s and wind gusts as high as 25 mph.
