On the heels of its international debut at Louvre Museum, the iconic Paris museum’s first-ever fashion exhibition, Louvre Couture, makes its debut in Houston at MFAH. Now on display, Louvre Couture is an extraordinary exhibition of 36 fashion ensembles across the Houston museum’s galleries.
Fashion is an art form at Louvre Couture. In partnership between the musée du Louvre and Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Art and Fashion: Statement Pieces is a collection of 36 unique fashion ensembles. Showcased with MFAH’s masterpieces in the museum’s Beck and Kinder buildings , the curated selection feature historic fashion brands including: Louis Vuitton, Versace, Balenciaga, Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, Givenchy, and Christian Dior.
Other contemporary designers are featured in Louvre Couture exhibition at MFAH, including: Erdem, Jacquemus, Thom Browne, and Iris Van Herpen.

The earliest piece featured in Louvre Couture is the 1965 Robe Mondrian of Yves Saint Laurent. This article, visitors can see alongside Piet Mondrian’s Composition with Grid #1, from the museum’s collections. Additionally, Givenchy’s 1990-1991 Pantsuit is displayed with André-Charles Boulle’s Longcase Clock from the 17th century; a 2024 Yohji Yamamoto ensemble with Louise Nevelson’s Mirror Image I; and Karl Lagerfield’s 1990 ensemble for Chanel with Biombo with Views of Mexico City.
Louvre Couture is presently in exhibition at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston until March 15, 2026. Visitors can find the exposition in galleries located in the museum’s Beck and Kinder buildings. MFAH is located at 1001 Bissonnet St.

All Access tickets to the museum start at $20 for those aged between 13 and 18, or 65 and older. Tickets for adults over the age of 19 are priced at $24. Entrance is free for visitors aged 12 and under.
The Museum of Fine Arts Houston is open from 11 am to 5 pm Wednesdays; from 11 am to 9 pm Thursdays and Fridays; from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturdays; and from 12:30 pm to 6 pm on Sundays. The museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
