El Paso is stepping up again, and this time it’s for Cans for Christmas, an Iris & Grizz project taking on the growing food insecurity caused by the recent government shutdown. Even with the government reopening, local pantries are still very much in need.
Many local organizations are seeing their shelves empty faster than they can keep up, and one of the hardest-hit is a small but vital nonprofit that often flies under the radar: The Borderland Rainbow Center. Their food pantry serves LGBTQ+ community members, families, and anyone in need, and right now they need help.
How You Can Support the Borderland Rainbow Center Pantry
To help refill their shelves, KISS FM is gathering canned goods and essential pantry items across the city. Anyone who drops off 5 items at the KISS FM studio (4180 N Mesa, El Paso, TX 79902) will be automatically entered into a raffle for a prize package worth over $300. It’s a simple way to make a direct impact and maybe win something awesome in the process.

Every can, every item, and every donation goes right back into the hands of families who need it right now. El Paso always shows up, and this holiday season we get to show once again what this community is made of.
