Everything is bigger in Texas — including home and auto insurance, according to a new study.

The report from MoneyGeek found Texas ranks fifth for highest insurance burden in the country at 10.97% of take-home pay. That amounts to $8,653 paid each year.

Texas take-home income is listed as $78,902 with a home insurance cost of $6,854 and an auto insurance cost of $1,799. The home insurance cost ranked as the fourth highest in the country, while the auto insurance cost ranked as the ninth highest in the country.

The states with insurance burdens larger than Texas’ are Mississippi at 12.91%, Oklahoma at 15.32%, Florida at 16.65% and Louisiana at 18.4%.

The states with the lowest insurance burdens are Hawaii at 2.05%, New Hampshire at 2.32%, Vermont at 2.64%, Washington at 2.79% and Alaska at 2.95%.
