Fall in San Antonio is about more than just cooler weather; it’s about connection. During the autumn months, the city starts to buzz with harvest festivals and neighborhood fairs. Whether looking for holiday decorations or bold handmade jewelry, grab a tote bag and shop small at the craft fairs and artisan markets that make our city special.

Boerne Handmade Market
Just a short drive from San Antonio, this Hill Country market brings together more than 100 Texas makers at Nineteen:Ten church. Think artisan candles, fall wreaths, kids’ clothing, and small-batch foods, all wrapped in that cozy, small-town energy that makes Boerne weekends worth the trip. Highlights include ooh-aah bath and body products from Lake + Ember, contemporary planters from Lotus Ceramics, and sweet treats from Two Oak Culinary.
Saturday, November 22, 9 am-4 pm.

Brick at Blue Star Sunday Markets
This Southtown event space’s weekly market is a visual treat any time of the year, but fall is when it really shines. Expect everything from retro fashion and handcrafted jewelry to spooky-cute art prints and quirky objets d’art. Vendor booths are first-come, first-served, so there’s always something new to discover. We’ve found everything from robot sculptures fashioned from vintage cameras to a vintage Yves St. Laurent leather jacket. Sip mimosas while shopping, then grab a pizza from Stella Public House.
Sundays, noon-5 pm.

Muertos Fest
The Southwest’s largest Día de los Muertos celebration doubles as an artisan market. More than 100 vendors showcase handcrafted papel picado, candles, art, and traditional foods. Be sure to stroll through the more than 100 ofrendas scattered across the Hemisfair grounds honoring beloved departed community members. Don’t miss the tribute to Falco Jiménez on October 24.
Saturday, October 25, 10 am-11 pm and Sunday, October 26, noon-9 pm.

District 10 Harvest Festival
Hosted by the City of San Antonio, this free annual northeast-side favorite combines small-business vendors, live music, and family fun at Lady Bird Johnson Park. Shop handmade crafts, home décor, and seasonal goods from local makers while enjoying food trucks and community performances. It’s a family-friendly opportunity to support the talents of local entrepreneurs. And yes, this year, bouncy castles are back for the kids.
Saturday, November 8, 10 am-1 pm.

Market Days at La Villita
One of downtown’s most picturesque shopping spots is even more beautiful during autumn. Stroll the cobblestone streets of La Villita Historic Arts Village as you shop for handcrafted pottery, textiles, and jewelry from San Antonio artisans and vendors, including rotating artists in residence in collaboration with the Mexican Secretary of Tourism. Live music and cooking demos in Maverick Plaza’s new demonstration show-kitchen round out the old-meets-new experience.
Saturdays, 10 am-3 pm.
