EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a vehicle in an intersection on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 26 in Northeast El Paso, El Paso Police said.

The crash happened just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Magnetic and Hercules.

Police said the motorcyclist appeared to be speeding.

Police said a vehicle was traveling south at the 8300 block of Magnetic while approaching the intersection of Hercules.

The motorcyclist — identified as John Paul Foreno Moya — was traveling north on Magnetic at “a high rate of speed,” police said.

As both vehicles approached the intersection, the vehicle made a left turn onto Hercules. The motorcyclist struck the vehicle in the intersection. The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said.

Special Traffic Investigations continues to investigate the crash. This is the 58th traffic fatality inside the El Paso city limits compared to 63 at the same time last year.
