On Oct. 17, experience a flight designed to showcase the restaurant’s handmade ravioli
As National Pasta Day approaches on Oct. 17, Palato Italian Kitchen & Lounge at HALL Park Hotel in Frisco is inviting guests to celebrate in true Italian fashion, with a hands-on masterclass and a one-day-only pasta flight crafted by an award-winning chef.
Palato, recently named one of USA Today’s 10Best Hotel Restaurants of 2025, is quickly becoming one of Frisco’s most celebrated dining destinations. The restaurant is led by Executive Chef Eric Sakai, whose background includes time at Michelin-starred kitchens and years of training in Italy. His philosophy blends the elegance of fine dining with the warmth of Italian hospitality, emphasizing simplicity, craftsmanship and fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Nestled inside the modern and art-filled HALL Park Hotel, Palato’s atmosphere mirrors its menu — inviting, authentic and designed to transport guests straight to the heart of Italy.
One-Day-Only Pasta Flight
For one day only, guests can experience a special pasta flight designed to showcase the restaurant’s handmade ravioli. Each dish highlights a unique expression of Palato’s culinary artistry:
Fried ricotta ravioli with tomato sugo
Truffle and parmigiano ravioli
Butternut squash ravioli
Each pasta in the flight offers a taste of the textures and flavors that define Palato’s kitchen.
A Hands-On Pasta Masterclass
For those who want to learn the art of pasta-making themselves, Palato is also hosting a special edition of its popular pasta masterclass on National Pasta Day. Guests will join chef Sakai in the exhibition kitchen to learn the traditional techniques behind perfect pasta, from kneading dough to shaping delicate folds by hand.

A Taste Worth The Hype
Local Profile previously got an early taste of the butternut squash ravioli, and it’s worth the praise. The pasta was tender yet toothsome, filled with velvety squash and finished with browned butter, crisped sage and a drizzle of 15-year-aged balsamic — a dish that perfectly captures Palato’s philosophy: simple, soulful and unforgettable.
For those looking to celebrate National Pasta Day with a little flair, Palato’s event lineup promises a delicious reminder of why the humble pasta remains a timeless art form.
