Plano ISD announced three new administrative appointments during the September 25 board work session and October 7 board meeting.
Dr. Michael White – Director of IT Support Services
Dr. Michael White was appointed as the district’s Director of IT Support Services.
He joined Plano ISD after serving as the Director of Technical Services in Garland ISD for the past three years.Â
Dr. White is an accomplished technology executive with over 20 years of progressive leadership experience that spans K–12 education, higher education, and the private sector. He has successfully led large-scale technology operations, cybersecurity initiatives and digital transformation projects that strengthen instructional outcomes and operational efficiency. Additionally, his experience includes leading cross-functional teams, managing multimillion-dollar budgets and aligning technology investments with organizational goals and objectives.
Guided by principles of integrity, accountability, collaboration and innovation, Dr. White believes technology should empower people and improve student outcomes, creating systems that are secure, sustainable and designed to serve both educators and students.
Dr. White holds a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Business Administration Degree from Texas Woman’s University, and a Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. Additionally, he has obtained elite professional certifications that demonstrate mastery in the areas of project management, cybersecurity and school business.
Dr. White also served our nation as a soldier in the United States Army.
Stefanie Ramos – Director of Character, Attendance and Restorative Education (CARE)
Stefanie Ramos was appointed as the Director of Character, Attendance and Restorative Education (CARE).Â
Mrs. Ramos brings 30 years of dedicated service to Plano ISD, including leadership as a campus principal at both Daffron and Wells Elementary Schools, and most recently, as Director of Human Resources. A proven instructional leader and relationship builder, she has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to student success, family engagement and staff development.
Fluent in English and Spanish and known for her collaborative leadership style, Mrs. Ramos has led initiatives supporting bilingual education, character education and comprehensive practices across our district. Her extensive experience and student-centered approach will be instrumental in advancing our mission to cultivate character, improve attendance and strengthen restorative practices across Plano ISD.
Ashley Jackson Ivey- Director of Digital Learning and Innovation
Ashley Jackson Ivey was welcomed as the district’s Director of Digital Learning and Innovation.
Mrs. Jackson Ivey joins Plano ISD from Garland ISD, where she began her career as a middle school science teacher. She later became an instructional coach and was most recently Garland ISD’s Digital Learning Coordinator. In that role, Mrs. Jackson Ivey was responsible for leading cross-functional teams to develop, promote, implement and assess high profile digital learning initiatives.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Jackson Ivey has contributed significantly to district-wide curriculum development and is a recognized voice in educational technology. She frequently presents at Regional Education Service Center (ESC) events as well as the TCEA conference—one of the nation’s premier EdTech events hosted annually in Texas.
Her leadership reflects a deep understanding of both pedagogy and technology, and we look forward to the continued innovation she will bring to our organization.
