The Lone Star Showdown returns to Austin for the first time in 15 years as No. 16 Texas faces No. 3 Texas A&M on Friday.

In the renewal of the rivalry last year, Texas defeated A&M 17-7 in College Station to solidify its place in the College Football Playoff and to clinch an SEC Championship berth.

This year, Texas A&M (11-0, 7-0 SEC) is looking to do the same, as a win will clinch the Aggies a spot in the SEC Championship.

Meanwhile, Texas (8-2, 5-2 SEC) is trying to keep its slim College Football Playoff hopes alive.
